Open Spaces - Herbst

Which artistic strategies help to experience the familiar anew or to take new steps into the unknown? The autumn edition of OPEN SPACES invites a particularly large number of young artists’ voices to take different paths and to ask questions about dealing with unexplored terrain. Their inspiration comes from ancient, medieval, terrestrial and transcendent sources as well as from the desire to collect and to destroy. Meanwhile, a collective of artists makes blind dates the basis of their choreographic experiments. The space choreography »Chora« subverts strict temporal boundaries, while elsewhere physical boundaries are crossed and metaphysical forces are tested. In cooperation with OPEN SPACES and SAVVY Contemporary, Hyoung-Min Kim presents a revised version of »I am not on the Blacklist« outside the walls of Tanzfabrik Berlin just in time for the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
