Dance Documentation as Artistic Practice
The project "Capturing Dance - Dance Documentation as Artistic Practice" is the first time an artistic and therefore new focus has been turned on the dance documentation and attempts to apply it with a new generation of artists showcasing in Berlin and Cologne. A symposium (16-17 Oct 2015), a lab (early 2016) and an exhibition (June 2016) will offer contexts in which students from the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin (HZT) and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) as well as professional practitioners can illuminate the fluid relationship between choreography, performance and documentation.
