And we will put our nails under each other’s and we will laugh
And we will understand disabilities as a choice of expression
And we will embody class struggles enjoying that the only class that is safe for humanity is a Contact class
And we will create and we will share and we will feel unbreakable
And after all these, we will be ready for the Love and the Grace that exists in a single touch

Konstantin Mihos has an eclectic approach to teaching contact improvisation, embodying in his workshops instant composition and ideas of great thinkers like Rosa Luxemburg, Walter Benjamin and Gerd Müller. He is very interested in using dance as a tool for social awareness. The workshop will be accompanied live by double bass player George Kokkinaris.

Konstantin Mihos
Konstantin Mihos studied dance and cinema. After his graduation from the State School of Dance in Athens, he continued his studies in New York and San Francisco, f.ex. with Merce Cunningham, Alwin Nikolais, Sara Rudner, Twyla Tharp, Trisha Brown, Simone Forti and Meredith Monk. Οrganizer of Athens Contact Improvisation Jam since 1998, ECITE 1993 & 2004, he has introduced in Greece mix ability dance, created performances in public spaces fused with historical and political connotations. Since 1988, he has taught in universities, professional dance schools and workshops in Greece and Europe. In 2000 his work »Empty man«, a dance production based on structured contact improvisation, with a 7 months pregnant dancer, was awarded the National award for choreography.
