In the frame of Open Spaces/Sommer Tanz 2019
A workshop for all levels of practitioner, investigating the dynamic relationship between the performer, audience, space and architecture. A journey of discovery, unearthing narratives and allowing characters to emerge. Using games, group/contact improvisation and tasks, we will explore ways to allow truth and sensitivity to free our performing. Whilst the work will be predominantly physical, we will also look at freeing the voice and utilising dialogue in an immersive environment. Sharing our work will be an important part of the 4 days, allowing us to reflect on our findings as we move forward into a devising process.
Adam has worked with a diverse range of companies including Punchdrunk (The Drowned Man The Masque Of The Red Death, Faust), Told By An Idiot (You Can’t Take It With You), the RSC (The Winters Tale, Anthony & Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, Boris Godunov, A Life OF Galileo) Shakespeare’s Globe (A Midsummer Nights Dream, Timon Of Athens).
