Amie-Blaire Chartier is a freelance dancer based in Berlin, Germany. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Amie-Blaire graduated from Ryerson University’s Dance program in 2016. In 2017, she was awarded a scholarship for the NOD internship in Turin, Italy. Here she had the privilege of learning from choreographers such as Tom Weinberger, Ella Rothschild, Sita Ostheimer and others. As a freelancer, she has worked throughout Europe with choreographers such as Yotam Peled, Liliana Barros, Shahar Binyamini, Franka Marlene Foth, and performed work by Ohad Naharin. While establishing her base in Berlin, she has also become a founding member of the project based company, Yotam Peled & the Free Radicals. While feeling immensely grateful for the work she has been a part of, Amie-Blaire still finds a great source of inspiration by continuously questioning what it means to be a dancer and how both movement and emotions transcend into the communities around us.
