Maddi Fuente Ubani

Maddi Fuente Ubani (she/her) is a Basque performer, creator, and facilitator who moved to Berlin over six years ago. She holds a degree as a professional contemporary dancer and a certification as a technician for audiovisual projects and performance in Spain. As a creator, Maddi's work explores the intersections of improvisation, composition, and voice, approached through the lens of women's perspectives and body memory. She leads movement sessions for the FLINTA* community at Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit. As a performer, she is currently collaborating with director Leila Patzies and working as a stage assistant for Alexander Carrillo. She has also served as a choreographic assistant to Tamara Rettenmund and directed and performed Tracing Echoes at Hamburger Bahnhof Museum in Berlin. Maddi is a co-founder of the Ore Ama Collective, where she works as both a choreographer and performer, and she co-choreographs for the Welcome Home Collective. She is currently performing her solo piece De boca a boca while also training as a birth doula.
