In this workshop, ecological thinking meets dance and choreography – a way of looking at the world as nested systems of relationships and interactions. You are invited to become, for a short time, part of an open constellation of heterogeneous actors, who transform embodied experiences, questions and ideas into dances.

We develop improvised solo and group dances based on two choreographic interests: 1. relationships of interdependence and 2. exchange of material and information. Exercises and scores help us to see who or what is gathering in this place, in order to then discover the individual in the multiple, and in the multiple perhaps something completely unexpected.

The workshop is open to all levels. Experience with improvisation is helpful but not a prerequisite.

The workshop will be held in English and/or German spoken language in consultation with the group. The workshop consists largely of improvisation and the physical intensity of the exercises and dances can be adjusted individually. There is always the possibility to withdraw from exercises, touch is optional and only selectively in focus. The exercises require self-responsibility in being mindful of one's own limits as well as a high degree of self-awareness and awareness of others. Imagination plays an important role. Part of the work are abstract and poetic imaginations, which are translated into movements. Writing and reading of handwritten notes will be used. If needed, a free workshop place for an accompanying assistant will be facilitated for participants with disabilities.
