Since 2020, «Aeon» has taken place every year at the Tanznacht on one of the last and most beautiful spots of wasteland in Berlin. Named after the Greek god of time and eternity and the unit of measurement for geological eras, “Aeon» addresses the time of landscapes.
With «Aeon III», artist Sandra Man continues her series of live art installations co-created with Moritz Majce, this time placing the focus on our feeling for our surroundings and asking: Where are we when we are there?
The live performance by Lisa Densem, Joséphine Evrard and Laura Siegmund on a piece of wasteland in Lichtenberg, in the middle of the city, evokes an alien expanse. Images of the installation in the Uferstudios invert and intensify our sense of space, turning it into a physical cavern. Linking boundlessness and closeness, exposure and security, «Aeon III» finds expression for our geo-existence.
