Profitraining with Miriam Rose Gronwald

Looking at the body like an infinite map, I like to use movement as a guide to discover the many pathways of our body's inner landscape. The discoveries and hazards we come along in the process of learning, the physical and mental limits are all part of the journey. Inspired by the technique of Flying Low by David Zambrano, this class will start by focusing on our relationship between the floor and the body in space. The tangible sensation we experience by moving in and out of the floor will raise questions of how we deal with the anatomical structure of the body in relation to our surrounding and how we approach it with our personal limitations. Different movement phrases that build upon each other will act as a tool for you to find the pleasure and ease, in speed and coordination whilst moving in between levels. Though physically challenging, the dynamics of the class will not only improve your coordination and stamina but also create a greater sensitivity towards the external and internal energy you create as individual and as a group.
