Gabriele Reuter, Christina Ciupke, Anke Strauß
In the frame of Open Spaces/Sommer Tanz 2018
Dance makers, artists and specialists from all disciplines meet to exchange on the topics of artistic research and choreographic as well as other practices. With the title »Nowhere Now Here« , the choreographer Christina Ciupke and the organization researcher Anke Strauß provide insight into their current research on the topic of work and utopia – a two-year collaboration between art and social science. Building upon this, Gabriele Reuter will moderate a discussion between the participants regarding their own questions about research. The state of the work process will be shared with the audience in an open studio at the end of the lab.
Two days of exchange of artistic research, choreographic and professional practice.
Mo 16.7. + Di 17.7. 10:00 - 17:00 Lab
The Lab is open for all and free of charge. Letter of application needed, see workshops on this website.
Lead: Gabriele Reuter with Christina Ciupke and Anke Strauß
Dr. Anke Strauß is an organisation researcher interested in relationships between the art and the business sphere, specifically with regard to differing types of knowing, inter-disciplinary collaboration and changing modes of organizing (alternative) work-lives. Having worked at the Social Science Centre Berlin (WZB) on artistic interventions in organisations, she is currently at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. Together with Christina Ciupke she is working on a project founded by the Volkswagen Foundation on artist-run organizations and the performativity of utopian thinking for (re-)organizing cultural labor.
