In this performance project we work intensely both with our physical bodies and with our energetic bodies. It is at the connections of these two spheres, materiality and energy, that we put our attention. We unravel what lies beneath the surface: of our skin, of our movement, of our cultural norms. We explore the realms of residual movement and of germinal relationships before they come into shape, category, definition. We stay before the definitions. We dig out the raw materials of the body, we decode the patterns, we challenge the beat. We’ll make use of energetic layers scanning, somatic empowerment, network imagination, and peripheral cosmologies. We open to the call of the body in times of active physical presence. We stay in touch with flesh and bones, and our emotions, too. The more we open up, the more the cellular work will get specific. We make sure that dance is shaking the pillars. It is a physical and musical class suitable for people in all stages of their dance development. We depart with an undogmatic somatic awakening of our body, in touch with what the group brings into the space. From this, we develop intensity, pace, relationships,. We aim to engage with all layers of our being: our physicality and skills, our persona and creativity, as well as our collective connection. We use an exploratory approach to movement and its sources, with the aim to seek and train the authenticity of our actions, gestures, and of our dance. We flirt, we ride, we sweat, and we get specific. I invite you to join both class and performance project, if you can. It will be a full journey!
