In the frame of Open Spaces#1-2018
Tuning into the simple idea of the acoustic wave.
Movement and sound collide in space. Movement that is heard and felt in the body. Sound constantly shaping and reshaping the room. »The Amplitude« is part dance performance, part physics lecture, part electronic music concert. It reveals the relationship between sound and movement and remixes their channels of perception. With its entire soundscape created live on stage, directly from the amplified and recorded movement of the performer, »The Amplitude« aims to create resonance with its audience by offering a highly immersive experience of sound in movement.
Choreography: Gabriele Reuter | Sound: Mattef Kuhlmey | Performance: Gabriele Reuter, Mattef Kuhlmey | Light design: Benjamin Schälike | Costume: Judith Adam | Mentor: Pete Shenton | A production by Dance 4 Nottingham, supported by the Arts Council of England, National Lottery Funding and Tanzfabrik Berlin.
