Deleted Scenes

Performance by Sergiu Matis

Sergiu Matis brings back deleted scenes from a dance made possible by the bodies of now, that displaces history with fantasy and slips into virtual reality. He actively searches into the past for those missing voices that didn't make it to the court, the dances of the marginalised and suppressed that didn't find place in the history books. Organised like a video game in virtual reality the dances are performed by virtuosic bodies that fulfill tasks in a fantasy world. This virtual space opens the potential to reimagine the bodies and to give new tools in choreography borrowed from technology, in direct collaboration with the multimedia artist duo "8gg" and the new sounds of Lotic.
