Workshop
with
Maeva Berthelot
In the frame of Sommer Tanz 2016
After spending years touring internationally as a performer and as a teacher for choreographers like Emanuel Gat, Ohad Naharin & Hofesh Shechter, Maëva teaches a technique class focused on reconnecting dancers to their instruments: Body & Mind. The aim is to help them gain a sense of acceptance, enjoyment, creative freedom and harmony. Ex-Forsythe and Cedar Lake dancer and choreographer Roderick George will lead the second part of the workshop with a session inspired by Forsythe Repertoire and his own recent choreographies including. His movement material is virtuosic, linear from ballet, acrobatic and filled with urban hip hop styles such as crumping and voguing.
