“Five” sounds like a good number, but it might be just one of the possibilities! Have you ever sensed something beyond the usual five senses? Have you ever felt the need to explore new ways of perceiving the world, to name them, and express them through performance? We often think of the senses as sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. But could there be more senses? This project invites us to expand how we perceive and express what we sense, even what we don’t fully understand yet. Inspired by nature especially the sea, wind, and water Daniela Marcozzi has been researching new ways of sensing and embodying the environment. Through movement, dance, physical theater, and voice, we will explore new ways of feeling and interacting with the world. Nature will guide us, expanding our senses in unexpected ways. This journey is an exploration of personal, ecological, and political awareness discovering new perceptual capacities within our bodies.
Additionally there is a Contemporary class with Daniela Marcozzi from 28.4 - 28.5.2025 | Mon & Wed 18:15-19:45
This open class explores specific improvisational scores each time, inspired by the body in motion within space, connecting with the environment through energetic processes of "give and take." Movement and space, movement and voice, embodiment techniques, and expressive practices all come together through improvisational movement languages and physical theater exercises. The classes focus on reaching a certain energy level, inviting participants to work in an off-balance state, which in turn guides them towards using their energy in a conscious and authentic way. This approach creates energetic processes that allow the dancers to work with the emotional system from the inside-out and embodiment processes from the outside-in.
