Contemporary dance, its production methods, its protagonists, its policy: An increasing number of artists, venues, companies, and institutions are competing for funding which doesn’t increase proportionally to the demand. Does it suffice to just provide more grants? Or should we rather start to think differently about conditions of production in liberal performing arts in Berlin, and come up with alternative visions in artistic production? These questions will be discussed in “Visionärer Widerstreit”. Now is the time for visions!

In this project "John The Houseband" is working in a constellation of four. They are looking forward to share their practice, little findings and unconditional searchings in making songs and sounds and to support and mesh with the discussion round of "Visionärer Widerstreit" .
