THREE, SIX, MANY
In „Sechs Schwestern”, three people come together both at work and in their living room. As hands and ropes move, their thoughts wander freely. They speak to themselves, to each other, and to the audience: knot by knot, they dream of the future, reflect on happiness and work, despair, and find hope. Interwoven into the performance are fragments from Chekhov’s Three Sisters (premiered in 1901) and an open audio description, delivered by the three performers as an integral part of the stage action and audible to everyone in the audience.
„Sechs Schwestern” speaks of the courage, strength and love of many* to unite through different connections and entanglements and to reflect on their own position again and again.
Lea Moro intertwines the yearning for another place and the contemplation of purpose and work from Chekhov’s classic play with questions about a new or different sense of togetherness — a sisterhood.
