The international festival Tanz im August presents “MONT VENTOUX” by KOR'SIA on 30.+31.8.2024. Inspired by the text of the poet Francesco Petrarca, the dance collective embarks on a search for a new image of humanity that is up to the challenges of our time. In a workshop, Angela Demattè, one of the dancers in the performance, invites us to climb our own mountains with movement and imagination. You will have the opportunity to explore new heights, sensations and ways in approaching the undertaking. Through guided exercises and improvisations, will explore together the depths of body memory and challenge our physical limits, opening the door to new forms of expression. No matter how big your mountain is, we are here to guide you to the top. Ready to climb together?

Angela Demattè
Angela Demattè grew up in Italy and graduated at ArtEZ Dansacademie. During her last year of school Angela joined the dance company Konzert Theater Bern in
Switzerland as a dancer where she stayed until Summer 2019. Angela has worked with various choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Jo Strømgren, Club Guy and Roni, Ihsan Rustem, Po-Cheng Tsai, Nanine Linning, Etienne Bechard Kor’sia, Joshua Monten Dance Company, Marcel Leeman Physical Theatre, Victor Rottier and others. Since 2019 Angela is a freelance dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and pilates instructor. As a choreographer, she has been creating for different contexts and companies such as Konzert Theater Bern for the Next Generation programme, TanzWerk 101, The Link and more.
