Warm Up

Kurs with Julie Carrere, Yuko Matsuyama, Victoria McConnell
In the frame of Summer/ing at Tanzfabrik

To start the day smoothly with somatic and awareness-raising exercises that bring us into the body and into feeling. Through various exercises, movement, sensing and images, we make structures in the body tangible and thus enable a deeper, more subtle experience of our own body and also sharpen our awareness of our body structure. Understanding anatomical conditions creates alertness and presence in the body, with which it can be a pleasure to move. Through conscious perception, we focus on the respective qualities and use them to improvise as a solo, duo or whole group. The aim of these classes is to activate the mobility and adaptability in the body, which can unfold in many different ways. We remain attentive to what we perceive and to the performative potential of the body in every moment.
