Terra Nullius

Audiowalk – Listening and walking experience · Deutschlandpremiere by Paula Diogo
In the frame of FEMINIST FUTURES WEEKEND

Tickets
«Terra Nullius» is a performative audiowalk that tries to capture the experience of a distant place. For a year, Portuguese performer Paula Diogo was in Reykjavik developing a project that combined personal and collective narratives. Her process was founded on two simple actions: walking and writing.

This performance overflows the space of the theatre, occupying both the city’s physical space and a virtual space of discussion. It is a vast sound tapestry that crosses geographies, placing them in dialogue with each new city it arrives in.

For each location, a route is drawn to create an overlap with the pre-existing audio track. The audience is then invited to walk through the city in a group experience, ending with the solitary reading of the book TN, which each audience member takes home.

We recommend comfortable clothes and shoes and the willingness to walk a longer distance.

Accessibility
The Audiowalk will be held in English. Lifts are available at the S+U station "Westhafen". The area over which the Audiowalk passes is partly difficult to access. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact Juan Harcha by email at: harcha@tanzfabrik-berlin.de or by phone at: 030-200 592 70.
