Workshop with Tanja Erhart
In the frame of SommerTanz 2023

Our workshop days from the first part of Sommer Tanz 2023 from July 20-23 will take place at the Uferstudios in Wedding and in cooperation with our network Making a Difference.

expressive punchy funny tender and soft embodied authenticity

The workshop is an invitation to explore my collection of favorite and most pleasurable crip*queer dance moments from my last 10ish years of dance experience for you to experience in your own and the collective bodyminds we create.
We practice:
↪  shaking and bouncing
↪  staying hip-over-head and head-under-hip for minutes on end
↪ in unconditionally saying yes! and enjoying it
↪ in consent / finding agreement, giving and refusing
↪  in not making sense
↪   in breathing, humming and creating soundscape
↪  in centering and expanding in all directions, in taking up space
↪  in going to the ground, loving the ground
↪  in letting go dancing
↪  in building and releasing tensions
↪   in curiosity and boredom
↪  in pleasure scores
↪ in resting
↪  …
We shake.
I dance. You follow.
We shake.
You dance. We follow.
A private dancer moment.

Above all, I would like to invite people who also identify as crip*queer

Notes on Accessibility
On the first day, we will settle into the room together, design a schedule with individual and collective breaks, and practice a get-to-know-you round of self-description and pronoun use. Throughout the workshop we will practice accessibility and access.
Personal assistance is welcome to participate by arrangement.
There will be a variety of seating and lounging options in the room, as well as a snack table. If there are further needs, please let us know.

The workshop will take place in the Uferstudios in Berlin Wedding, in Studio 5. It is accessible without steps, but has a raised wooden floor area, which is accessible via a 1.5% sloping feeder ramp. A barrier-free WC with shower (2.6 m x 2.1 m) is located in the foyer of studios 3, 4 and 5 and can be accessed without steps. The door width of the respective sanitary facilities is 0.95 m. Information on how to get there and precise directions ↪ hier. Hygiene measures in place at the time will be followed, regular ventilation will be provided during all breaks, and we will have Covid19 testing available.  During the lunch break there will be the possibility to eat in a café at the courtyard of the Uferstudios about 200m away from the studios or bring your own food. The dance studios are accessible throughout and are available with beanbags, mats and blankets as a place to rest during the lunch break. If needed, a free workshop space for an accompanying assistant will be facilitated for participants. Please let us know your accessibility needs in advance. To register and communicate details regarding your access needs, please contact Zoé Duflot & Elisabeth Leopold at workshop@tanzfabrik-berlin.de. If you have any questions, please write to us as well!
