Summer Intensive (fully booked)

Workshop with Dor Mamalia

In this intensive course, we will focus on gaining a deeper and clearer understanding of how we move and how to access and use technique. We will work on: How do we find ourselves / our personality in the technique and in the performance? We will focus on decoding the basics of contemporary dance techniques with an emphasis on floor technique. In addition, we will work on the accuracy of technical execution by applying the correct movement principles that allow us to move with the maximum range of motion and efficiency. Furthermore, it is about maximizing each individual body's own potential without harming it. We will seek & find an organic and healthy movement even in the riskiest moments. In addition to the research on technical learning, a range of challenging and intricate movement material will be taught. Here the focus is on how to handle the learning material, how to process it and how to develop it.

Information and theoretical knowledge about the body is shared as part of the physical training. At the end of each day there will be a short period of time to exchange ideas about the work.

The aim of this intensive week is to bring out the personality of each participant, to equip the body with a greater range of movement and to work individually with each person in the group.
