Profitraining with Danilo Andrés

BREATH & ASYMMETRICAL GROOVE
In this class we are working with the amplification of breath & gaze as main tools to create dance and performance. We will care about the activation of the senses and the ability of the body to generate pleasure, having in mind the poetry of an "Alien body" that melts beyond the limits of the "human anatomy". The Dance Training consist of an intense warm up based on breath work. We build up a never-ending groove-motion in the body to support an irregular, asymmetrical and unpredictable movement, and in so doing we challenge the logic of our anatomy. The choreographic work consist of manifesting in the space the power of this unpredictable raw energy into new endless gestures & directions. Danilo Andrés uses queer methods in his artistic work, being touched and fascinated by all kinds of physical transformation. Experience as drag queen and stripper influence his choreographic work. In his body work, he integrates elements from contemporary dance, butoh, physical theater & BDSM.
