Choreographer Milla Koistinen, musician Paul Valikoski and artist Ladislav Zajac present “Terrain”, an immersive installation which combines sonic and visual elements from nature and urban space. Birds chirp, leaves rustle – or is that just the light hinting at nature’s splendour? As part of the Open Spaces Festival, this new “SCHRUMPF!” (“SHRINK!”) Project has the audience – accompanied and led by performers – move in small groups through the installation as if it were a landscape: They observe their setting, follow trails and leave behind their own traces in the process.
The "SCHRUMPF!"-series reworks international premieres, Berlin debuts, and revivals by Berlin-based ensembles to be family oriented. A multi-layered and intimate portrayal of Berlin’s artistic diversity is presented at different locations, including Radialsystem, with projects by Ensemble Adapter & Celeste Oram, Milla Koistinen and Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop.
