'Rainbow Dance' is an embodied exploration of colors, applying dream work (dream opening® methodology) and imagery tools to unfolding colors' healing properties. It is a somatic journey through all the shades of the rainbow, closely exploring how colors in-form the body, shift its presence and ignite choreographic compositions. Which movements, qualities, textures, emotions, associations and understandings arise when being immersed in different hues? Dressed in matching outfits, we will make our way through each of the hues, precisely observing how they – and images in general - in-form our body. We will learn to see and value the world of imagination, to hold the space for the images to arise and for an embodied response to unfold. The work will address the power of an image to shift and create realities, to move beyond the known linear design of rational thinking.

Anna Nowicka
Anna Nowicka is a Berlin-based choreographer and performer who works with dreams and embodied imagination. She aims to transform the body into a resourceful, alive, and ever-flowing entity, capable of being responsive and present. A graduate of the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), she holds an MA in Choreography from HfS Ernst-Busch / HZT in Berlin and an MA in Psychology from Warsaw University. She completed her practice-based PhD on embodied awareness as the foundation for being present at the Polish Film School in Łódź. Anna is a certified Saphire® teacher of Dr. Catherine Shainberg’s “The School of Images” and a faculty member at the “International Institute for Dreaming and Imagery.” Her latest work, “Uvula,” is a choreographic journey in response to the collection of the Polish National Gallery Zachęta in Warsaw. It premieres at DOCK11 Berlin on December 19, 2024.
